Greetings to you all!

I can’t even begin to describe how incredible it feels to see The Spirit Collection of Thorne Hall included on Goodreads’ and Polygon’s most-anticipated book lists for 2025. This book has been such a labor of love, and knowing it’s already sparking excitement is absolutely surreal.

For me, writing this story has felt like wandering through the halls of Thorne Hall itself—dark, winding, filled with secrets and whispers. Crafting a Gothic romance has always been a dream, and now it’s stepping out of my imagination and into the world.

As I reflect on this moment, I’m reminded of a quote from Charlotte Brontë that captures my emotions so well: “Life appears to me too short to be spent in nursing animosity, or registering wrongs. We are, and must be, one and all, burdened with faults in this world: but the time will soon come when, I trust, we shall all be relieved of our respective burdens in a better world.” Writing Gothic stories is my way of exploring the beauty, burden, and redemption in life’s shadows.

Seeing The Spirit Collection of Thorne Hall on these lists is like the culmination of every late night, every plot twist, every glass of wine that fueled this dream. I’m so grateful for your support, your enthusiasm, and for being the kind of readers who make moments like this possible.

Mark your calendars for February 11th—I can’t wait to share this story with you. Let’s lose ourselves in the haunting magic of Thorne Hall together.

With all my gratitude,

Jamie
